Matt is a member of United States Figure Skating & the Professional Skaters Association. He is a double gold medalist in Freestyle and Moves in the Field and holds a Certified Rating in Free Skate. Matt was a 3 time national medalist and 2001 United States National Novice Men's Champion. He represented the United States internationally at the Junior and Senior levels and has competed in Finland, Italy, Slovenia, Canada and the US. Matt has over 20 years of coaching experience teaching skaters of all levels ranging from beginners to international competitors. Matt currently is a staff coach at The Skating Club of Boston in Norwood, MA


Matt serves on the Coaches Committee for US Figure Skating and formerly as a member of the Board of Directors at Colonial Figure Skating Club.


For three years, Matt served as the Artistic Director for Ice Chips: Show of Champions. In this time Matt oversaw the largest and longest running skating show in American history. Shows featured skaters like Javier Fernandez, Gracie Gold, Mirai Nagasu, Jason Brown and for the first time in Ice Chips history, a live vocalist Jelani Remi who currently stars as "Simba" in Broadway's The Lion King.

Matt has had the privilege of working with some of the best coaches in figure skating from all over the world. Having worked with top coaches from the United States, Canada and Russia, Matt can offer a uniquely tailored approach that provides the best individualized solutions for each skater.
