Michelle Kwan
Jason Brown
Alysa Liu
Bradie Tennell
YOURSELF!
YOU BE THE JUDGE: What You Picked
Michelle Kwan
Papa Can You Hear Me (It’s a very powerful piece she could definitely tell a story with)
The Greatest Showman: Her spiral sequences would go well with the music
We are the Champions because she has won so many national championships and when I think of her I think powerful.
I Like to Move It from Madagascar because I have not seen her dance to pop music and would like to see her wearing animal pattern clothes.
I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston: Because that song is epic and she's epic and she's the only person that could ever skate to it.
It’s Quiet Uptown: Kelly Clarkson cover (Hamilton) She’s an elegant graceful skater. But she also skates with amazing power and passion. This song is one of my favorite songs from Hamilton. It deals with grief and emotion and it’s this cover is powerful and passionate. Michelle Kwan would really portray the emotion and deliver it to the audience.
She Used To Be Mine because she can tell the story really well.
Jason Brown
Beethoven's Grand Sonata Pathetique: I thought that it would be dramatic and cool.
How Will I Know by Sam Smith: Because Jason is so musical and this would be a new romantic look on him
Notre Dame de Paris: HERE (He is such an artists, I think he could tell a great story with this piece)
Mario Theme Song because he is a funny guy and it would be fun for him to skate to that.
James Bond because Brown has good movements and tricks that would match a Bond theme.
The Last Mohicans: Gael/Promentory. He is such an artistic skater, and I feel like he can really interpret the story and emotion, because there’s an actual storyline.
A Hip Hop Medley because during the Q and A he said that he hadn't done it.
Alysa Liu
Tomorrow from Annie: She's really young, at least in comparison to the rest of the senior ladies, and smiley enough.
Salome (She should skate to something that doesn’t make her look too young but not something that makes them force her to look older)
Spark of Creation: Because she's creating a whole future for herself and it's young and hopeful
Fireflies by Gabrielle Aapri because she is peaceful.
Hernando’s Hideaway because it’s youthful and a different style for her
Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies: cover-Lindsey Sterling. Alysa Liu is a graceful but powerful skater. She might be tiny, but she packs a powerful punch. This song starts out with the normal song, but then towards the middle, many different instruments that make it unique, and it goes from elegant to like electric.
Not a Girl to give her a different image instead of being little girl.
Bradie Tennell
Evita because it would show a different side of her and she could perform it well
The Matrix HERE (She skates better to more unique/cooler pieces rather than traditional)
What a Wonderful World: Louis Armstrong. She is really graceful and flows across the ice. I feel like she can excel in this because this gives a lot of emotional opportunities.
Circle of Life because she has a great personality
Seduces Me by Celene Dion: Because it would be a mature program for her that no one else could pull off
Espana Cani: I think she's good with sharp beats so she could try something like this.
Gladiator because I want to see more fierce out of her!
YOURSELF!
Speechless: Niomi Scott (Aladdin) I feel like a REALLY connect to this song. This is kind of an emotional and powerful song that talks about not being silent when it’s needed. I can relate, because I am NEVER silent when needed, or not needed. Whether it’s arguing my own opinion, defending what I think, pointing out why someone else is wrong, or just babbling, I can relate when she says “I won’t be silent, you can’t keep me quiet…” This song always gives me chills haha. There’s a lot of opportunity to relay emotion because I can portray what I feel, and what the character feels. There’s a story. Plus, Matt will make a beautiful dress to go with this…😉
Nessun Dorma: Because I've always wanted to skate to it
Clair de Lune: I've played it on the piano before, and it falls into the genre that I normally skate to (but I don't know if that's good or bad)
Only Hope: Because it was my favorite program to watch when I was little and I like the music
Mamma Mia here we go again because it will give my program a bit of a twist to it.
Gravity by Sara bareilles because I love skating to flowy music.
GREAT JOB!!!
